International Students
The Office for International Affairs (OIA) facilitates the admission process for international students across all TISS campuses, including those applying for international dual degree programs. International applicants, including foreign nationals, OCI cardholders, and NRIs, are eligible to apply, provided they meet specific criteria such as a minimum of 50% marks/GPA in their previous degrees. TISS fosters an environment of respect for cultural diversity and plurality, welcoming students regardless of religion, caste, ethnic background, age, sexual orientation, or physical status. Selected international students must join the academic program by the last week of July for registration and orientation.
Campus & Location
The Mumbai campus is an urban, green lung spread across 21 acres in the Deonar area. It features a main campus and a newer campus with modern facilities and green spaces. While there isn't a dedicated sports ground, the campus offers indoor games and a gym, and cultural activities are regularly organized, including the "TISS Cultural Fest — Quintessence." Mumbai, known as the "city of dreams," offers a vibrant city life with numerous cafes and affordable food options near the campus, providing ample opportunities for exploration beyond academics.
Career Outcomes
TISS boasts strong career outcomes, particularly for its HRM & LR program, which consistently achieves high placement rates. For the 2023-25 HRM & LR batch, the highest package offered was INR 36.25 LPA, with an average package of INR 28.20 LPA. Top recruiting domains include Conglomerate, Manufacturing, BFSI, and Consulting, with prominent companies like Accenture, Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints, and Citibank participating in placements. TISS has also incubated around 35 social start-ups, promoting a strong startup culture with a focus on social impact and entrepreneurship.
