University of the Cordilleras

The University of the Cordilleras (UC), established in 1946, is a private, coeducational institution in Baguio City, Philippines. Formerly known as Baguio Colleges Foundation, UC offers a wide array of programs across elementary, secondary, undergraduate, and graduate levels to approximately 21,000 students. It is recognized for its commitment to sustainable development and has earned autonomous status from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Academics

UC provides a comprehensive range of academic programs through its various colleges, including Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Criminal Justice Education, Engineering and Architecture, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Information Technology and Computer Science, Law, Nursing, and Teacher Education. The university is particularly known for its strong performance in licensure examinations, especially in law, criminology, and engineering. CHED has also designated several of its programs, including Information Technology, Criminology, and Teacher Education, as Centers of Excellence.

International Students

The University of the Cordilleras offers robust support services for its international student community. The Registrar's Office assists with admissions and visa requirements, including 9F visa conversion and extension, while the International Affairs and Services (IAS) office handles non-academic concerns like orientation programs and student activities. UC organizes events and activities to foster intercultural understanding and community building among international students. All international students are required to take an English Proficiency exam administered by the Guidance and Counseling Office.

Campus & Location

UC boasts three campuses in Baguio City, with the main campus centrally located on Governor Pack Road, near prominent landmarks like Our Lady of Atonement Church (Baguio Cathedral) and SM City Baguio. Baguio City, often called the "Summer Capital of the Philippines," offers a cool and student-friendly environment. The campus is easily accessible by public transportation and is within walking distance of major attractions such as Burnham Park and Session Road.
